Welcome to Aspire

Aspire at Quintin Kynaston is a provision which caters for students who experience difficulties coping in a mainstream environment. The programme supports students from year 7 to year 11 across two key stages.

  • Key Stage 3 – Aspire to Learn
  • Key Stage 4 – Aspire to Achieve

Both students and staff are proud of the success of the programme, the positive attitudes of the students and their determination to achieve.   We have a proven track record of excellent results with 100% of key stage 4 students achieving 5 or more GCSEs including English and Maths.

Aspire provides the support  to ensure all students reach their full potential, through excellent teaching, integrated working and a holistic approach to education.

How is Aspire different?

“Aspire staff are always there for me; whatever the issues there’s always someone I can talk to.”
Jodie, 16

At Aspire we work closely with schools parents and support agencies to ensure that students feel supported and any barriers to learning are overcome.  The focus is on educational achievement and students are encouraged to fulfill their potential.  We believe passionately in ensuring all our young people have an equal chance of success and work tirelessly to ensure this. A progress review tracking system is in place to track student progress against their individual targets and ensure effective interventions are in place for any student who falls behind.

“Aspire has allowed me to flourish academically and in my personal life”
Steph, 16

We pride ourselves on our holistic approach to student’s  wellbeing and work closely with a range of agencies including,  The Careers Advice Service, YOT and the Tavistock Mental Health Trust, to name but a few, as well as our internal support team which includes A Senior Health Practitioner, Social Worker and an  on-site Counsellor.  This approach ensures that all students, including SEN students, remain engaged and have the support needed to achieve success.

“Both my son and I have been astonished by the level of commitment, patience and understanding the staff at Aspire have shown to their pupils.”
 Deborah Colburn, Parent
