All students must wear the correct school uniform at all times.  A full list of uniform requirements is available from the school office.  It is the outward face we present to the community, and we expect students to wear sensible and appropriate dress without fashion accessories – this includes hairstyle and footwear.  Those who do not comply with school regulations will be sent home, after a telephone call to parents/guardians.

 All staff are expected to consistently enforce the strict uniform rules. This includes challenging students, sending letters home, contacting parents, discussing issues with the DOLs.

 Compulsory Uniform

  • Navy blue skirt or trousers
  • White Shirt/Blouse
  • KS3 Tie – Sky blue with stripe & logo
  • KS4 Tie – navy blue with stripe & log
  • QK V Neck Jumper ( optional )
  • QK Reversible navy blue waterproof jacket
  • QK School bag ( KS3 )/A school bag able to hold a minimum of 2 A4 folders ( KS4 )

 P.E. Kit

  • QK Blue polo shirt / long sleeved shirt
  • QK Navy blue shorts
  • Navy blue jogging bottoms
  • White socks

No jewellery is permitted except:

  • 1 pair of stud earrings,
  • 1 watch
  • Religious symbols ( with a parental permission letter )

Students should not wear:

  • Caps/ hoods are not permitted on the school site.
  • Facial piercing ( except religious symbols, with parental permission )
  • Minimal make Up to be worn in school
  • No extreme hair colours
  • No nail vanish or nail extensions

No valuables should be brought in to school.

Religious Clothing and adornments

QK is respectful of all religions and aims to provide opportunity for students to express their faith. To this end QK agrees that symbols of religion but must be removed for Physical Activity. All other jewellery is unacceptable in accordance with the uniform policy.

QK allows students to wear various headdress including the hijab, skullcap and turban to support students religious expression. These can be worn in addition to the full school uniform. Full School Uniform may not be replaced by alternative religious or other clothing.  Headscarves must be dark blue or black only.

Sixth Form

Students are expected to adopt a professional approach to their Sixth Form studies and the dress code reflects this.  Failure to comply with the dress code will result in you being sent home to change.  ALL students must wear their ID badge and have their DIARY and School Folder on them at all times.

Jewellery should not be excessive or a risk to anyone’s health and safety within the school environment.  If it is deemed excessive you will be required to remove it.  Hair styles should reflect the overall ethos of the Sixth Form dress code, without any extremes of colour or style.
